New exhibition for 2012 : The Rise and Impact of Global Methodism
To connect with the 2012 international sporting celebrations, the special exhibition will be looking at the international Methodist family – from its beginnings with John and Charles Wesley’s time in Georgia, through the work of some of the early missionaries, to the most recent meeting of the World Methodist Council, you can get a sense of this world-wide family. Then voices of today can be heard - five Methodist people who currently live in the UK will be reflecting on their upbringing in Methodist communities in five very different parts of the world. The exhibition will be launched in mid-March and will run until the Rectory closes at the end of October. |
